• School-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (SW-PBIS) School Team Training Application-Cohort 6 (Summer 2010-Spring 2012) The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) and designated partners will be offering team training as part of Minnesota SW-PBIS cohort 6. • Coming soon….. PBIS “coaches” meeting If your role at school involves guiding, facilitating, leading, nudging, supporting, acknowledging, data providing, progress monitoring a team implementing School-wide PBIS then you won’t want to miss this opportunity. Metro RIP is sponsoring a first time meeting for people serving local school districts in this capacity. We will work together to build the support system for coaches including skill and knowledge development, data based decision-making, problem solving, teaming and networking. We anticipate scheduling this after the new year in January 2010. If you are interested or have questions please email Char Ryan at pbis.char@gmail.com.

• Team Visits…. Starting in November and beyond The Metro RIP would like to start making visits to school PBIS Teams. The purpose is to provide support, tips, answer questions and general “coaching” for the teams. Please think about questions and needs that might surface for which you would like some additional information and ideas.
